Veranda Trio is a guitar / bass / drums trio that has been notable in that they have been one of the groups in the free improvisation scene here in Korea that consistently played for years, steadily expanding their repertoire of originals which drew as much from rock music as it did from free improvisation and jazz. This second album expresses various aspects of the struggle that we all went through in the era of Covid-19, thus titled "19".

이번 앨범에는 작년부터 우리가 경험하고 있는 Covid-19 바이러스에 대한 곡들로 이루어져 있습니다. 우리는 분리 되었고 우리의 삶은 또 다른 형태로 연결 되었습니다. 그 가운데 제가 느꼈던 감정들과 형태들을 곡으로 담았습니다. 현재 우리의 삶에서 진행 되고 있는 주제로서 듣는 재미와 본인의 코로나에 대한 정의, 또한 나름의 결론과 의미를 생각해볼수 있는 시간이 됩니다.

Mung is a Korean expression "멍" roughly translated as "spacing out", a process during which our conscious minds step back and allow our subconscious minds to take over, much like what happens in the art of improvisation.
